Manage land projects for acquisition of oil and gas leases in strategic areas throughout Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska, acquiring over 65,000 acres. Oversee and manage Land department, landmen and support staff as well as broker supervision, Joint Venture agreements, contract negotiations with industry partners, Unitizations, due diligence, negotiation, project planning, divestures, title searches and Operating Agreements. Review and implement department strategies and duties for the preservation of heritage minerals and leasehold in 19 states covering over 300,000 acres. Facilitate audit and recovery efforts as well as reduction of deductions taken against ORRI, mineral and working interests in over 2,000 wells; work closely with management, staff and attorneys in prime states, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Texas. Establish and cultivate industry relationships; attend industry meetings to identify new prospects and minerals to replace reserves; consistently meet with industry contacts to discuss market and pricing trends along with developments relative to the industry.
