Worked with Case Managers and other agencies to develop a return to work plans for people with a disability. This may have included arranging Training, a Targeted Wage Subsidy, Self-Employment or Adaptive Equipment plans. This also involved reviewing any medical concerns or barriers.The Opportunities Fund assisted individuals across several regions.

Delta

Facilitated Employment and Life Skills workshops for youth looking for work participating in the Skills Link program. Found work experience placements for Skill Link participants and monitored Wage Subsidies.

My responsibilities included managing the Delta Employment Skills Program contract, conducting client intakes to determine eligibility and register clients into various workshops. I also oversaw program development, staff development, and facilitated. Created a Job Developer position to assist clients return to work.

Surrey

Provided a 3 week career exploration program to individuals seeking career clarification or a career change. This involved administering various assessments and exploring LMI regarding possible career choices. I wrote a career summary for case managers regarding career suitability. Established and maintained professional relationships with case managers.

Worked in a variety of programs including the Supported Group Homes, Independent Living, and SCOPE in 2002. From 2012 - 2013, I was a Case Manager at the Richmond WorkBC Centre. I also facilitated employment and job readiness workshops for the SCOPE and Barista programs.
