'"When I was a child and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping."' ~Mr. RogersWhen people ask me what I love to do I say, “help people”. It sounds so cliché I know, but it’s the truth. I have been able to narrow down the focus of how I want to help people. I am a Human Rights Advocate. Specifically, my passion is in the area of Human Trafficking, and providing support to victims and survivors of this insidious evil. My contribution to the cause would be best suited in the area of fundraising. There is no avenue I won’t travel, no barrier I won’t knock down, and no obstacle I won’t circumvent to raise money to provide whatever help necessary to assist in the short and long term human trafficking victims to recover and lead productive and meaningful lives.Since the mid 2000’s I have slowly immersed myself in the world of Human Trafficking, educating myself and getting involved in different organizations on a voluntary basis. At the local community church, I am part of the anti-human trafficking ministry, I participate in Webinars with Hands that Heal through FAAST (Faith Alliance Against Slavery and Trafficking), which will allows me the opportunity to become a facilitator to assist with survivors and victims. I would like to find a position with an organization that will benefit from my passion, perseverance, and zeal to eradicate Human Trafficking on a global scale.
