I joined Aptean Limited, reporting into the CFO of Aptean Inc based in North America. Responsible for the financial reporting, tax filing and payrolls for both Aptean Limited and all legal entities in the EMEA region, as well as monthly review of management reporting for EMEA. During my employment I worked closely with the sales teams to ensure we remained compliant with revenue recognition rules and the Mergers and Acquisition team on the smooth financial integration of EMEA based acquisitions.

Hungary

Performed the strategic identification of a European Shared Service Center. Quickly reduced the country shortlist for consideration down to Romania and Hungary, with a final recommendation to locate the center in Budapest which was presented to the US Board of Directors for approval. Project included office selection, contractor recruitment to fit out all floors of 4,500 square metres, collaborate with government officials to secure development incentives, and engage recruitment agents to begin the hiring program. During the transition process, received two awards from the Hungarian Government in recognition of Investment and Employment

Manager of one of the UK’s largest IT resellers, serving B2B customers in the commercial and public sectors. Route to market included, web, printed catalog, and call center operations in four sites across England and Scotland. Moved from the initial position of Finance Manager to General Manager of UK operations during a management restructuring in 2005. Overseeing the complete operations of 500 employees, with a strong management team responsible for sales, finance, purchasing, IT, logistics, marketing and HR.
