With her entrepreneurial achievement and her passion for bringing eye health care to the community through multiple awareness campaigns and research to educate the community, Sandy Tan has been the brains behind the establishment of the marketing team and also the brand image of OPTIMAX Eye Specialist Centre. Through her leadership, not only has she gotten OPTIMAX to be successfully listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in August 2020, Sandy was instrumental in getting OPTIMAX’s securities transferred from the ACE Market to the Main Market, within just 2 years, in November 2022. With a passion for improving eye health care, Sandy has demonstrated her dedication to the community by prioritizing the provision of the best care and solutions to the people by leveraging on professional expertise and technologies. In order to service a wider community, OPTIMAX rapidly expands its presence in Malaysia through the establishment of new ACC and satellite clinics. Sandy's visionary outlook extends beyond the local market, as she plans to bring the OPTIMAX brand to the region starting with the establishment of a clinic in Cambodia. OPTIMAX’s profit after-tax growth from 2020 to 2022 represented a CAGR of over 60% on the back of a compound annual growth rate of 36.5% for its revenue over the same period. In addition to the impressive financial result, Sandy actively engages in corporate social responsibility to assist the less fortunate within the community. She ensures that OPTIMAX extends its reach beyond eye health care, making a positive impact to society.On a more personal basis, this young, dynamic law graduate is continuously upgrading herself. Despite her role as the CEO which takes up much of her time, she is currently also pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration! Sandy has also recently completed the Future-Ready Families Program for Citi at MIT Sloan School of Management.
