• Planning and execution of all IT activities required to Isolate, Separate and Integrate IT Infrastructure and Applications which support Divested Company business process.o IT Infrastructure Isolation, Separation and Integration included the following components: Network (Wide Area Network, Local Area Network, Wireless Network, Firewall configuration) Mobile Services (Secured Remote Access Services, BlackBerry Services) Messaging & Collaboration (Exchange Mail Server, Symantec mail protection) Directory Services (New Company Active Directory Domain, new On-site Domain Controller) System Management Infrastructure (new SCCM and SCOM to manage Desktop Application Deployment, Storage profiler) Data Centre & Hosting (SAP Exchange connector, Storage Area Network & Backup management) Workstations and Servers Management (Operating Software and Antivirus deployment) Remote Support on Desktop (OVSD call registry, Remote Support).o IT Application Isolation, Separation and Integration included the following components: Activities required divesting 11 Applications, either by segregation of user’s access, cutting off access to applications, data extraction, branding removals.o Transfer to the Divested Company legal entity.o Manage the IT Transition IT Licenses and Contracts Services that will be used by Divested Company and approved by the Buyer for and agreed period.o Develop and execute cut over activities and post implementation clean-up activities like server decommissioning.

Project Management of Service Transition containing multiple Infrastructure IT Projects according to BT Project Methodology, processes and procedures.

Infrastructure Projects - Responsibilities include project lifecycle management using Prince2 Project Methodology in alignment with Project Management Office Standards. Adherence to infrastructure architecture, technology strategies, business unit roadmaps, and security and safety standards. Successful infrastructure deployments include satellite dish deployments, network upgrades, VMware/SAN deployments/upgrades and migration of servers to the SAN, wireless communications deployment, cabling upgrades, 3rd Party Network connectivity deployments, desktop upgrades/desktop security upgrades, installation of new infrastructure platforms on "Greenfield sites", infrastructure life cycle refreshes (servers, firewalls, fiber optic backbones, PABX, UPS's etc), domain migrations, server room upgrades, establishment of DEV and QA environments, video conferencing facility implementations, backup design and implementations, etc.Application projects - Responsibilities include project lifecycle management using Prince2 Project Methodology in alignment with Project Management Office Standards and SDLC. Adherence to applications architecture, application strategies, business unit roadmaps, security and safety standards and supporting infrastructure platform.Successful application deployments include system developments i.e. Drawing Registers, Time Management Systems, BU Intranets, Laboratory Information Management systems, interface developments, Crane Booking systems, Barcode Scanning Systems, Mobile Asset Management Systems etc. Medium to large enhancements or packaged solution deployments such as Geology software deployments, corporate tax solution upgrades, payroll enhancements, purchase order enhancement in SAP etc., Isolation and Lockout Systems implementation, E-Booking Travel solution implementation, Access system deployments, Environmental solutions deployments, Clinic systems deployments, etc.

Day to day operation IT Africa PMO.A project portfolio of between R200m to R300m liaising with Business Unit Stakeholders, Suppliers, Project Managers (contractors) and IS&T Infrastructure and Applications team Members in South Africa, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique. Are responsible for the establishment of a Project Methodology (aligned with Prince II), Project Management Office Processes, and Procedures, SOP, induction and training.Manages permanent and contractual staff members, does performance reviews and career path management.Manage Supplier relations and contracts.Enforces Project Governance in adherence with Prince II methodology, tracks project progress and ensured KPI's are met in adherence to business SLA's.Manages PMO budget.Reports PMO performance to Project Stakeholders, Global PMO and Customer Engagement Meetings.The PMO Program Manager also acts as Regional Change Coordinator for Africa representing the Rio Tinto Global Change Advisory Board and is responsible for:Establishment and imbedding of the Global Change Process, Procedures and SOP.Provision of Induction, Practitioner, Operational and Toolset training on an ongoing basis across Africa to Business Stakeholders and Operational/Project teams.Ensuring all changes and releases to the Rio Tinto Production Environment are appropriately approved, prioritized, developed, tested and released in the production environment in a timely manner to meet business needs within their regional jurisdiction according to the Global Change Management Standard.Negotiate change and outage windows with business.Communicate Changes to the production environment to targeted users across the business.
