The German-American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest (GACC Midwest), as part of the network of German Chambers abroad, promotes the expansion of bilateral trade and investment between Germany and the U.S. Offering various services to the German and American business community, GACCMidwest especially aids German SMEs in their North American market entry efforts.Integral parts of my internship included:-being responsible for the U.S. business development activities of 5 German SMEs in plastics, water treatment, biogas and ophthalmic optical measuring instruments through virtual offices-planning and execution marketing strategies for these clients, which increased sales up to 100% over the year-tradeshow support and business partner search for clients-performing benchmarking analysis of virtual office services which resulted in a change in internal administration structure in order to improve services-performing market research for European coffee equipment manufacturer -organization of a delegation of German SMEs in the waste water treatment and innovative water technologies sector which included business partner search, organization of a roundtable and conference, acquisition of delegation participants, research of market trends and opportunities for delegation participants
