Investment Management, Equities Research and Training

Duties and Responsibilities1. Responsible for identifying and developing investment opportunities across the public markets line, 2. Deal sourcing across specific target sectors for Cytonn including potential investments as well as monitoring and management of current portfolio, 3. Supporting deal partners in conducting financial and operational due diligence on potential investments, including: sector reviews, macroeconomic and political risk analysis and capable of thorough desktop research using all relevant third party sources,4. Conducting financial modelling and analysis including: designing models; identifying key drivers and building in sensitivities as appropriate; strong understanding of different valuation methodologies; and ability to identify relative defects and effectiveness of each valuation tool,5. Preparation of presentations and information memorandums for a variety of purposes and end-users including the Investment Committee,6. Supporting the deal team in negotiating term sheets, key commercial points and legal documentation,7. Cultivating and managing productive relationships with development team members, public officials, funders and lenders,8. Monitoring and analyzing portfolio company operations, track KPIs, conduct top-down industry research and develop suggestions to improve company competitive strategy or operations, and, 9. Leading and supervising the evaluation, valuation, pricing and negotiation of investment opportunities including the term sheet, due diligence investigations and transaction documents for investments for each investment, and, 10. Leading a team of Investment Analysts as well as training interns in the Investments Department and other departments in need of Investments Training.

1. Undertaking and authoring research on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual market performance in the fixed income and Equities Markets 2. Portfolio tracking and management of the Cytonn products i.e Cytonn Money Market Fund, Cytonn Money Market Fund USD, Cytonn High Yield Fund and Cytonn Equity Fund, to ensure that they make the best investments that will return value to the investors by analyzing investments made, and potential3.Financial valuation and modelling of portfolio companies, as well as analyzing historical and projected financial statements and investment data, 4.Updating financial services sector models (Banks and Insurance), once results are released, preparing earnings notes and undertaking financial modelling and valuation for them5.Participating in the evaluation, formulation and implementation of investment strategies,6.Conducting fundamental company and investment opportunity research and analysis in Equities, Fixed income, Real Estate, Private Equity and Structured products,7.Undertaking CAMEL rating analysis on the Banking sector upon release of the Banking Sector Report,8.Cultivating relationships with Banks that meet the Company's CAMEL rating threshold to ensure that we get the highest deposit rates for our products Fixed Deposits 9.Tracking of Cytonn Private Equity Investments to ensure that they deliver the required Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Return on Investment (ROI),10.Training of clients through Wealth Management Trainings which cover various topics, relating to Cytonn’s scope of business, 11.Preparation of reports and presentations on Cytonn products to stakeholders such as Trustee, Regulator, Board of directors, clients (AGM),12.Periodic review of the asset class outlook based on the updated GDP, Currency and Inflation Models which are in line with the current Macro-economic environment, and,13.Rebalancing Cytonn’s model portfolio which would later form the basis of investments recommendations and strategies.
