Worked on user growth strategy at the intersection of Facebook's Family of Apps, which includes Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and Whatsapp.Previously, I covered reporting and forecasting for the Facebook Core Growth team, which involves:- Weekly growth reporting, in which I attempt to make sense of how our product launches across the company and happenings in the world (market trends, geopolitical events, natural disasters, you name it) are tying into our user growth.- Working on our growth forecast, which determines goals and planning across the company (from growth product to finance to infrastructure). The current focus is on bringing growth forecasting across the different Facebook apps under a unified framework.

I managed a small team focused on bending the growth curve in a number of our most difficult markets, where we've been relatively unsuccessful thus far in driving growth and penetration compared to the rest of the world.

I worked on a couple of different areas of the growth loop as a member of Core Growth Analytics:- Friending (September 2013 to August 2015): Connect the world, literally. Get people friends both actively (by improving product flows and visibility) and passively (through the People You May Know product and algorithm), make sure they're not spammers, figure out exactly what value those friends are bringing, etc. etc....- Contacts (August 2014 to December 2015): Drive downstream growth impact using contacts data from our users. Understand our mountains of contacts data (both in terms of format and use cases), figure out how to improve related flows, and help drive friend connections, notifications reachability, and other related downstream growth products.
