Ping Sang is an accomplished irrigation engineer with the success of more than ten years’ experiences in selecting, designing, constructing, and rehabilitating irrigation schemes, promoting agricultural production chain, introducing a modern irrigation system to farmer to corps with the changing environment in the context of climate changed. Ping Sang wholes a master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand and a bachelor’s degree in water resource and Geotechnical Engineering from a prominent Institute of Technology of Cambodia. He is recognized for his strong technical skills in conducting feasibility study, designing of irrigation and drainage system, hydraulic structures, earth fill dam, reservoirs, soil investigation, foundation design, and retaining structures. With years of experiences, he is a well-rounded technical person who has gone through the whole process of irrigation cycle counting from project formulating to detail design, bidding process, estimating cost, construction management, budget management, and to the operation and maintenance of the scheme. He has worked closely with a wide range of people counting from the grass root level of farmer to the top management and decision maker of the Government's Agencies: Provincial Department of water resources and meteorology (PDWRAM), Ministry of Water Recourses and Meteorology (MWRAM), Ministry of Agriculture, Floristry, and Fisheries (MAFF), Ministry of Economic and Finance (MEF). Furthermore, he has been working alongside different experts and specialists in the region and with different donors: ADB, WB, DFAT. He is an outstanding key player in coordinating and consulting among all stakeholders involved in the development area, hence filled in the gaps between highly technical people as a specialist and non-technical people as farmer and decision makers. With his good observation, plus open minded, Ping Sang has a strong personality toward his profession, keep growing forward, and brings in changes and hopes to the communities.
