I'm a freelance writer and editor based in London. I have experience of 10 years in the editing industry. I hold a postgraduate degree in Microbiology and I have an editor certification from BELS (www.bels.org). In my 10-year editing career, I have edited thousands of dissertations, case reports, and research articles on a wide range of topics, mainly in the field of life sciences; fiction and non-fiction works, including books; and even a monthly publication on cinematography. I have written a weekly column on dream interpretation for Yuva (Mumbai-based newspaper), and I have written monthly tarot columns for Ideal home & garden, Simplifly (Air Deccan's inflight magazine, and now Priority Pages (quarterly periodical for customers of Axis bank). Sangeeta Krishnan completed her MSc degree from the University of Mumbai, Maharashtra, following research in bacterial pectinase. Thereafter, she worked in a small team reviewing data for oncology clinical trials, and has been involved in the clinical trials of several anticancer drugs, notably SUTENT (sutinib malate). During this time, she gained considerable experience in the area of clinical trials. She started editing full-time in 2007, received an editing certification (Editor in the Life Sciences) by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (www.bels.org) in 2009, and has gathered years of experience in editing journal articles, PhD theses, and web content. She has considerable experience in editing papers by authors whose first language is not English. She now works as a freelance science editor and proofreader. Her areas of expertise include cell biology, genetics, microbiology, environmental sciences, molecular biology, biotechnology and oncology.
