Lost the fun in being bitten by the writing bug. So I turned the tables (and the chairs), and am biting the bug now. Faux protein, but fun!Currently exploring the intersections between science and literature to see in what new transdisciplinary lights certain concepts can be looked at. This isn't just a progression from STEM to STEAM to STREAM in a nod to liberal arts and science education in my personal teaching philosophy, but very simply put, it is my need to see how we arrive at new knowledge simultaneously from multivalent perspectives. I am largely an autodidact in Philosophy of Science. This course enabled me to interact with students of Philosophy and draw on the knowledge and expertise of professors at the Department.

I used the conjugated polymer polydiacetylene and exploited its chromism property to develop new sensors for the detection of certain analytes.

I worked on the structure and dynamics of fluids in confined geometries for my doctoral research. As model systems, I investigated water, alpha-chymotrypsin and an ionic liquid ([bmim][BF4]) confined within the nano pores of reverse micelles and microemulsions formed by Aerosol OT and Triton X-100.My main tools were Near-Infrared Spectroscopy, Dielectric Spectroscopy and Small Angle X-Ray Scattering.
