About Sangeetha Thanapal

I am a Racial Equity Consultant teaching schools, governments and companies how to leverage diversity and inclusion to bring out the best in their diverse staff. I do speaking events on race & racism all over the world and teach workshops on how to make spaces more diverse, how to tackle uncomfortable conversations around race and other social justice issues, and how to keep spaces safe for everyone.I started as an anti-racism activist and educator, and I wrote about articles around race and inclusion. Naturally, I started getting invitations to speak at events about anti-racism and help people have safe conversations around it. My passion is in teaching people concepts and tools and pedagogies around anti-racist work. Now, I’m looking to work with individuals and companies who are deeply invested in diversity initiatives.
