As Government Partnerships Coordinator I developed productive working relationships with relevant government institutions and partners and together designed various agricultural technical extension training and field demonstration programs that were delivered to local rice, maize, and cassava farmers, and delivered many other capacity building training programs to agricultural cooperative leaders, input retailers, and government staff. This program advocated legal reform in forestry and fishery management, developed public-private dialogues to promote responsible mining and hydropower development and sought political support for Mekong climate change agreements. As a Project Coordinator for the Regional Oxfam America office, I supported local organizations in field research, project planning and implementation of community forestry development, river basin management, and coordination with other NGOs regarding natural resource management issues. I facilitated workshops and meetings and coordinated with local authorities and stakeholders in project implementation. In addition, I developed proposals and undertook reporting and communication with donors.

For the DAC, I coordinated with relevant partners to develop a national action plan for disability awareness raising, including government ministries and local stakeholder groups. I facilitated national working group activities and assisted in organizing events on disability awareness and to promote opportunities, rights, employment and access of people with disabilities to socio-economic services.

I collaborated with the World Food Program (WFP) to establish 8 Rice Bank Associations in Prey Veng and Takeo, using milled rice from WFP as the initial capital. These initiatives assisted some 2,000 families in the two provinces. I also led project teams in planning and implementation of other activities and trained project teams in community development work, project planning and management and project monitoring. In this role I conducted field research on farming and irrigation systems, working closely with partners on water supply in family farming systems. I performed quality check inspections on pump operations and developed productive relationships with local authorities and NGO partners in the target areas.

In this role I assisted in village planning and implementation of project activities, and worked closely with community leaders to ensure success and sustainability. I also trained community leaders on issues related to community development.
