As I am developing and managing GPR(Ground Penetrating Radar) signal analyzing software on windows, I keep trying to find new tech to enhance performance and usability of software. (TCP/IP and UDP based communication programming and digital signal processing). I visit customer sites time to time to meet customer and to figure out what customer exactly like to implement in the software .Goverments like Seoul city hall and Pusan city hall use our software and hardware to get underground data and to analyze GPR signal. Recently, I have done with programming that interact with Korean Web based map services like Naver Map and Kakao map (a.k.a Daum Map) using javascript.

There are two major roles, technical support, and QA(Quality Assuarance). In technical support, I get a call from email/phone and log it to CRM(SAP) to trace. As a tier3 support engineer, analyse the issue and gether all available information on the issue. To identify the issue, I need to work with embedded ARM test board like Panda board, Webkit on ubuntu , GDB with firefox. Every end of week, I need to update status each cases for OEMs and for management.My performance is evaluated by the number of cases closed.In QA role, I perform test for flash player with over 2000ea flash contents. Over 1600ea performed automatically but, remaining 400ea test should be performed by manual. I made record in performing tests over 100 handsets a year. Due to short head count, I handled all Korean OEM's certification request. After announcement of giving up flash runtime by Adobe, I moved to customer engineering team and took care of source releases (Perforce, Python script) / security patch releases (Pefroce) / binary releases using P4. (Perforce/ Python)

I was working on how to port Flashlite1.x/2.x/3.x/4.x to devices. (Win32/Linux/WinMobile)Due to co-work with sales, I travelled Samsung(Suwon/Gumi) offices and LG(Gasan/Pyeongtaek) office time to time. Since I had remote manager, I managed my work hour/load/goal set up by myself. Since all flashlite source code provided as C++, I analyse it with win32 reference port first, then escalate it to HQ engineers. Most issues came from contents not runtime. FLDH1.x is designed for STB/TV. Stand alone player port is working on Linux. Every year, I had training offline/online for new products, flash lite 2.x and so on. All Korea OEMs' technical supports are owned by me.

Tech support management between OEM, Samsung and HQ engineers.Onsite support, Sulzbach, Germany (5/15/2005 to 7/4/2005) to log Samsung engineers issues on to system. Report its status daily to engineers in Samsung Germany team, managers in Samsung Suwon HQ, and the manager in Philips Korea. Even working in Seoul, I travelled Suwon office 3-4 days a week. All issues came from email / phone call / discussion (face to face)SPH-D600(Dragon) is released with my support.

Pantech used TTPCom solution for GSM handset. it used HIOS ,Borland C++ and ARM CC.As a starting member of GSM mobile phone team, I am working on studying GSM protocol / features. With reference phones (Nokia, Motorola), I make operator specific features like operator lock, SIM lock. Made 5 GSM handsets to world wide market, Winc, Twinky, Forte, Cute, and D600. To support world wide market, I travelled and made features/localization onsite. I travelled Germany to get certification of GSM handset, FTA, Cetecom, twice, and Taiwan once. Even I had finished my army service as working in Pantech for 5 yr and 3 mo.
