DAEWOONG ELECTRIC primarily manufactures and develops metal clad switchgears, control panels, low voltage distribution panels, digital miniature mosaic panels and transformers. They are a major supply to the Korean National electric power corporation. I had experience both in-office and on site in the factory. My responsibilities in the office role included computational tasks such as drawing up reports, submitting orders and taking telephone calls; and checking and advising on whether the manufacturing sector always had enough resources (capital and labour) to meet the customer's required quantity and time restrictions. I feel that this part of my work experience further developed my communication and interpersonal skills through interactions with customers and co-employees. I understand the importance of team work and that synergy is key for a smooth flow of operations. In the factory, I gained a significant first-hand experience of assembling main power circuits to power equipment which required close attention to detail and quick problem-solving skills. I also practiced good manufacturing processes as there was a significant emphasis on health and safety in the work-place. Show less
