I worked on a World Health Organization-funded project called the IAS Training Needs Assessment which was also overseen by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi. My responsibilities were to assist in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. I subsequently helped draft question guidelines to conduct one-on-one interviews and a focus group remotely with selected IAS officers, ranging from junior to senior levels, and analyzed their transcripts. This information was used for a final report, which I drafted together with my supervisor and submitted to the WHO/India office and the MOHFW. Additionally, I helped train local youth from Baltimore to conduct qualitative research with young participants about food insecurity and prepared them to conduct in-depth interviews with peers. Because of my expertise and demeanor with young people, I became the first point of contact for the youth researchers, providing them with additional support and tools through the training and hiring process.For Project VITAL, I coordinated and planned field observation of 230 vacant lots in Baltimore.
