About Sang Park Certified Home Inspector

In 2011, the Navy was building a boat launching facility in Africa. This program was a part of the Anti-Piracy program under US Foreign Policy, a gesture of building a good relationship. There was just one problem -- when I went to the job site, I realized the location was all wrong. In fact, the new facility would basically shut down the local’s amphibious operations.I was the project manager and had a decision to make. The easiest solution would have been just to move forward with the installation. But the lives of the locals were going to get affected and the relationship that we were trying to build was going to be ruined. If I raised a red flag, it would bring a full stop on the project, require a complete design change, and cause lots of headaches for everyone involved. I chose the second option. I was not a popular person both up and down the chain of command. The project was delayed 6 months as we redesigned the project and sorted out new logistics. But in the end, the boat launch facility was built, and it was done right. The local government officials were pleased and we fulfilled the commander’s intent, winning the hearts and minds of locals. So What does Africa have to do with a home inspection? I perform home inspections with the same attitude. I inspect your home with honesty and integrity. I have the courage to report my findings in the best interest of you and your home. I am committed to the safety and well-being of you and your family.I am a veteran with over 20 years of field experience in general and waterfront facility construction, repair, maintenance, and quality control. I was the person in the field who inspected the contractors’ work against the construction drawings and specifications for a very long time. Thank you for visiting and hope to see you soon.
