Directly contribute as key project leader or primary investigator for advancing therapeutic and vaccine candidates from early discovery to IND-enabling studies. Manage multiple research projects and contract projects timely in alignment with government and company goals. Organize the overall study: design, hand-on execution of in vivo and in vitro assays, data collection, analysis and interpretation. Collaborate with internal and external cross-disciplinary and multi-site groups. Document regulatory compliance (IBC, IACUC) and SOP. Produce reports, presentation, and publications. Proficient to use MS office (Word, Excel, Power Point), DNA analysis, FACS analysis (FlowJo), and statistical software (GraphPad Prism). Mentor graduate students; Train technicians and junior staffs; Supervise scientists, technicians, and staffs.Key achievement:• Established and utilized in vivo animal models for evaluating vaccines and drug candidates. • Utilized cell culture for cell based assays, virus and parasite propagation• Proposed the novel, effective vaccine strategies • Collaborated with multi-site teams (pathology, toxicology, and pharmacology) for histopathology, blood analysis, drug safety, and PK/PD.• Developed and implanted in vivo and in vitro assays: protein purification, ELISA, Western blot, qRT-PCR, flow cytometry, cytokine measurement, and immunohistochemistry.
