During my shifts, I fold an estimated average of 200 articles of clothing in the section I’m assigned to, which in turn improves the overall display of the section. I also help close to 30 customers with whatever they need assistance with. As an employee that works with other retail workers during my shifts, I find it important that I not only provide my support to the customers, but also my fellow coworkers. Whenever there are clothes in the fitting room that need to be brought back onto the sales floor, usually there will be workers assigned to bring them back. However, if the clothes belong to the section that I’m working in, I try to put them back myself, ultimately lightening the load for my coworkers. Therefore, the actions that I take during my shifts not only increase the overall customer satisfaction by 20%, but also cater to creating a healthy and positive work environment. (Currently working here since September 2021)

In my role, I delivered food and drinks to about 30 residents per shift, polished close to 50 pieces of glassware and silverware at the end of the night, fully stocked and organized the cabinets afterwards, and wipe down all the tables in my assigned section. Then, I would proceed to vacuum the carpet of the dining room and help with any leftover work in the kitchen such as refilling the ice machine. Overall, all my efforts led to an estimated 30% increase in the satisfaction of both the residents living at the assisted living center, as well as my coworkers.
