I support my clients in balancing the need to manage the emotional struggles of a separation and divorce, while also using logical and practical approaches to guide them towards achieving timely, cost-effective and successful results. In my Collaborative Law practice, I work with clients to move through the initial chaos and uncertainty of a separation toward closure and a final resolution of the parenting, child and spousal support and property issues.I use my experience, including litigation experience and representation of clients at the Ontario Courts of Justice and Superior Court, to help clients determine for themselves what process options suit their needs and situation, options including Collaborative, mediation or litigation.My commitment to respectful and interested based negotiations extend to my involvement with various Collaborative Practice groups throughout the GTA. I am a Member of York Collaborative Practice, Collaborative Practice Durham Region, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and York Region Law Association. I was selected to present the Mandatory Information Program at the Superior Court of Justice, Family Court in Newmarket.I have been practicing family law exclusively since March 2003 having earned my law degree from Queen's Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. I have been trained in Collaborative Law since 2010 and continue to enhance my mediation and negotiation skills with additional and ongoing training.
