Hey! My name is Sanjana Ilango and I'm a rising senior at the University of Southern California studying computer science and business.I've known my whole life that I wanted to pursue a career in tech for one reason: it's really cool. Armed with programming languages like Java and C++, I've been able to make real world impacts from wherever I'm at. The beauty of technology is its scalability -- one app can be downloaded by millions of people in the span of a few seconds. With that power, comes great responsibility.Through my internship, research, and personal project experiences, I've kept in mind this responsibility to create sustainable, ethical, and impactful technology. Because helping people and meeting them where they're at -- that's the whole point.Outside of creating tech myself, I'm also passionate about including more people in this creation process. I've seen the stark gender disparity in computer science, and I'm working to address it at all levels of education.
