My Job role includes setting up the private cloud or migrating the customer infrastructure to public cloud offering like AWS or IBM cloud orcastration(ICO) as per the deal.• Setting up the openstack or ICO for private cloud.• Setting Region server.• Setting VMware or KVM environment .• Migration Existing work load.• Setting up the Heat templates, or RDS template.• Setting up the network on either AWS level or private or ICO network layer.• Being part of the UAT.• Working with various platform support teams for OS and middle-ware go live as part of the transition to study state.I support the same account in Steady State as well

The IT Delivery Download Hosting Environment (DHE) mission is to provide the application hosting environment for IBM web site applications related to software downloads, publications, and data exchange. Problem Determination Consults.Steady State:Provide technical leadership for on-going problems between service lines and organizations.On-going upgrades based on investments and security.Oversight of core infrastructure ( routers, switches, VPNs, NW, storage, SMTP, DNS).Oversight of Common Services Infrastructure (Proxy, Frontend & Application Server Load Balancing, Firewall Usage, Base Authentication (WI and ED LDAP) and Authentication using Secure Reverse Proxy , Shared File system (GSA). Documentation of changes for Implementation Architecture.Application capacity sizing / monitoring.

Manage and handle break fix situations.Analyzing the Esx logs for ESX servers and Virtual Center logs to diagnose the root cause for the problem.Work in coordination with the Hardware and Storage team to diagnose the cause and assist in resolving the issue .Work with the Infrastructure Architects for Design and deployment of VMware virtual Infrastructure .Work with the Application Architects for Design and deployment of OS and Middleware components.Work with the Darwin implementation for automated Virtual machine builds along with middleware on it as per specification provided .Work With Capacity Planer for efficient capacity management of Virtual Infrastructure.Work with the Infrastructure Architects for creation of Reference architecture for Virtual Infrastructure and IBM Internal Cloud.Provide Level 1 support for IBM Internal Cloud.Interacting with next Level engineers in situation of a complicated issue for IBM Internal Cloud.Work with IBM Internal Teams to create OS image of various operation systems and flavors (Redhat Linux, SUSE Linux , windows 2003 , windows 2008 etc) for deployment within IBM . Provide technical leadership for on-going issues as an SME to various Steady state teams .Provide process oriented guidance to the Steady state teams .Provide Steady state support for Business transformation outsourcing .Have the servers compliant to IBM security standards irrespective of clients they support or the role they play.Make sure the servers are patched to the level and to work on closing the gaps found with the same .Have the servers Audit ready all the time .Respond to Audit request .Maintenance and manage of Linux, windows and VMware ESX servers .Provide L3 support for , virtual Center , Linux and VMware ESX servers.Work with product Vendors to obtain solution for ongoing critical issues .Create Technical documentation and tech shares within Multiple Teams. Give Training.
