A member of Tressler's General Defense and Litigation Practice Group. My legal practice focuses on complex civil litigation, including insurance, commercial, and intellectual property matters where I advocate for our clients in State and Federal Court.

• Drove IP strategy and led legal efforts in generating, supporting, acquiring, protecting, and commercializing a global IP portfolio, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights.• Responsible for managing eight offensive and defensive lawsuits, one international trade commission (ITC) lawsuit, and an Appeal to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.• Supervised 37 inter partes reviews (IPRs).• Drafted technical memorandums for Federal Court Judges to understand the technical issues underlying several patent litigation matters regarding radiation therapy.• Researched and identified competitors’ products for potential patent infringement.• Mined Elekta’s patent portfolio to identify potential patents to assert against competitor’s product(s).• Analyzed and created claim charts by mapping competitor’s products against Elekta granted patent claims and patent specification to determine evidence of potential patent infringement.• Part of a cross-functional team where I led the due diligence on five acquisitions: identifying, evaluating, and clearing acquired assets.• Analyzed competitors' patent portfolios to identify potential infringement issues with Elekta products.• Experience with Artificial Intelligence theory (e.g., machine learning, neural networks, convolutional neural networks, and generative adversarial networks) backpropagation, preprocessing data, selecting features, building, and training models for medical imaging. • Drafted and negotiated complex legal agreements: procurement agreements, supply agreements, patent licensing agreements, distribution agreements, consulting agreements, sponsored research agreements, data rights agreements, university agreements, confidentiality agreements, and joint venture agreements.

• Prepared and prosecuted patent applications before the USPTO and instructed foreign counsel on international patent prosecution. Advised clients on patent reissue/post-grant review/invalidity. • Conducted interviews with USPTO examiners to advance patent examination to issuance, and instructed foreign counsel in Europe, Japan, and China on patent prosecution matters. • Performed patent landscape analysis to identify “white space” to file patent applications in various crowded technology spaces.• Strategically drafted patents to work-around competitors’ patent filings. • Performed trademark clearance and assisted in filing of trademark matters.• Representative technologies included: cybersecurity, IP packet processing, holographic imaging, non-destructive testing, graphical representations, femtocell, microcell base stations, orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) communication system, digital signal processing, analog/digital converters, digital/analog converters, pressure transducers, phase locked loops semiconductor (System-on-Chip), and smart grid solutions.
