From my internship at Wheels India Limited Research And Development Laboratory ,for the period of 6 months ( Jul to Dec 2022) gained knowledge on Metallurgical sample preparation, Abrasive cutting, Mechanical Testing of Steels ( Tensile test - IS 1608 / ASTM E8, Brinell Hardness - IS 1500 / ASTM E10, Rockwell Hardness - IS 1586 / ASTM E18, Microvicker's Hardness Test - IS 1501 / ASTM E384), Chemical testing ( IS 8811), Bend test ( IS 1599) & Impact Test ( IS 1757) of steelsGained exposure in macro etching, flash butt welding and fillet welding validation of low carbon steels. Witnessed various paint validation method such as Gloss value measurement, Salt Spray Testing, Copper Accelerated Salt Spray, Spectrophotometry ( color match) testing of painted panels and automotive wheels.
