Infoblox is known for its cloud-managed DDI solution and has become a prominent player in the security and visibility space. The DNS SaaS Security solution(BloxOne Threat Defense Cloud) handles 15-20 billion DNS queries daily including a considerable number of DNS SaaS security events I am currently leading and managing multiple distributed teams, and own Threat Defense SaaS Security Services development, deployment(in AWS, Kubernetes env.) and Maintenance. Owned the delivery of numerous customer values in Infobox SaaS solution including AI OPS Insights, Assets Visibility, Lookalike Domains for Security and Brand Protection etc. I have been driving the re-architecture efforts to deploy and run SaaS security services reliably( from 99.99% to 99.999%) and cost effectively by cutting the AWS resources utilizations by 50%.Also, I can proudly say I could help and motivate 100% of my team members to leveraging AI tools like Copilot.

Cradlepoint(acquired by Ericsson) is known for great wireless(4G/5G/WiFi) routers for remote connectivity. I handled custom DNS-Proxy (using coredns.io code) development for DNS Security, SD-WAN and ZTNA use-cases. Also, I worked with third party security vendors to validate their tech stack and do a PoC for integrating SWG/RBI functions into the solution.

"Cisco Umbrella Security SaaS solution is built to deliver layered security/visibility/control with first layer as OpenDNS DNS followed by Secure Web Gateway & Firewall for deep Inspection with IPS/IDS, Antivirus and Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) technologies."Using DNS Security infrastructure as core, we built and deployed multiple Security functions. My responsibilities included architecture/development and deployment success of Web Security for roaming users using Cisco-Anyconnect client, branch office security via SD-WAN and application security to support SASE functions in Umbrella SIG solution.Creating SaaS solution using Microservices architecture brings in it’s own challenges in terms of reliability, COGS and latency; and these are always my key focus areas while putting the solution together.I led AMP (Advanced Malware Protection) and Sandboxing Analysis solution development for Web and Email security platforms(ESA/WSA/CWS), which was a great success and I can proudly say “I have done it”.I enjoyed working with multiple CASB solution vendors to integrate with Cisco web security and did the technical due diligence in acquiring CASB solution company for Cisco.

I enjoyed working on Cisco Wireless packets gateways- LTE(S/P-Gateways), GGSN and WiMax, on Cisco IOS platforms and the ASR5000 platforms. I was a core member of initial design team of the mobile video solution and I pioneered the Client-full transport optimization with third party solutions. As a part of Mobile Video delivery project, I got an opportunity to work on Android and iOS client for VoD/Live media/content acquisition including authorization (Oauth) and security.

"Stoke SSX IpSec platform was used by mobile operator to securely connect mobile device over wifi using IpSec. The platform software was enhanced to support FMC(Fixed to mobile convergence)." I designed/implemented UMA(over WiFi)-Cellular Mobility interworking & Security software modules on Stoke platform. As a core member of WiMax ASN GW design team at Stoke, contributed in designing WiMax flows and WiMax inter-technology handovers for Stoke’s SSX IpSec platform.

"Spatial Wireless’s highly scalable distributed Soft Switch for mobile call control and media interconnect was built for the easy migration from GSM to UMTS networks."Mobility management software for the 2G/3G mobility in Spatial wireless soft switch was the most complex and challenging. I accepted the challenge and led the team to deliver the UMTS mobility management features including inter-op with ALCATEL and SIEMENS RANs. As a technical manager, I hired/groomed and led a team of 6 engineers to deliver.

"Bharti Telesoft's Mobile VAS Platform was developed to provide the mobile roaming proxy platform using dual IMSI concept. The platform included SMS Center to send mobile originated as well as bulk SMS messages."This job gave me a wonderful opportunity to work directly with the customer (Bharti Airtel, wireless carrier’s core technical team). With the guidance form the customer, I successfully led design and development of different GSM mobility platforms. I managed the team of 7 members developing mobility roaming proxy platform for SMS, VLR and Shot Message Center(SMSC) for international roaming.This product enabled AirTel to provide international roaming in 14 newly acquired circles in early product phase and increased 50% roaming revenue in first year itself.

"C-DOT is a premier R&D Centre of the Department of Telecommunications, Govt. of India. This project was to develop ATM switch for NGN infrastructure for Indian government owned data/telecom networks."As a fresh research engineer, I started on the ATM signaling and Network management for the C-DOT ATM switch, which was very challenging and satisfying. I ported and tested the ATM signaling software and designed/implemented MMI manager for ATM N/W connection management, Configuration management and ATM bearer service.
