Though I still had 2 years to superannuate, I have opted for Voluntary Retirement from UIIC with the intention to" add LIFE to the years" and am open to exciting roles and challenges,Having specialized in Business Underwriting, Claims Management & Business Development functions of different Lines of Business viz. Fire, Marine Cargo and Hull (including Oil and Energy), Aviation, Motor, Health (Travel Medical, Group and Individual), Crop, Miscellaneous (including Liability, Travel Insurance, Home Insurance etc.), at different levels in various operating offices of the United India Insurance Company , in offices which catered to Retail business, to specialized lines of Business (like Marine Hull, Oil & Energy), to separate business channels (like Brokers, Agency force, Government Business, Corporates including Public sector Enterprises) and also in dealing with Re-insurers and Re-insurance Brokers.Led the smooth running of operations in my organization, having been the Head of business verticals and also of Independent Offices at the City, at the District and at the Regional/State levels. Was part of many risk inspections done by my organization’s Risk Engineers, and represented my organization during the Risk Inspection of the Offshore Platforms of our valued client , conducted by the Risk Engineers of the Reinsurers. UIIC , incorporated on 18th Feb 1938 and headquartered in Chennai, India, is a Govt. of India owned entity, which conducts its business operations through 1999 offices (30 Regional Offices, 6 LCB, 423 Divisional Offices, 663 Branch offices & 876 Micro Offices) across the country on Pan India basis with a workforce of 12837, and provides Insurance coverage to 17.4 million policyholders. It operates in four tiers - the Branch Office, the Divisional Office, the Regional Office and the Head Office. Regional Office 2 Mumbai, where I was posted before opting for VRS, controls the Company’s operations in several parts of Mumbai, its suburbs and in the state of Goa through 16 Micro Offices, 13 Branches, 14 Divisional Offices and 2 Claims Hubs. It had a GDP of INR 5824.5 million in FY 2020-21 and has a workforce of about 390 employees.
