Operations Assistant Manager. Was responsible for coordinating the movement of goods in the company, making sure that the right number of goods ordered is moved to the right locations and to the right persons at the scheduled time. To work in this position effectively, will need to find good vehicles and negotiate with drivers or transportation companies who will convey the goods for the best prices obtainable. Before goods are shipped out of the office will ensure that they are first on time delivery. We ensure that incoming materials from suppliers are in good order and properly stored, and that outgoing parts and materials for customers leave in the right quantities and in good condition. Throughout the day, they may be negotiate with transportation companies over rates or service levels; prepare documents; or review invoices and customs documents. Resolve issues with suppliers, customers, transportation companies or employees. They also may review distribution center workloads with other departments, coordinating with the scheduler.
