Sanjay Marwaha (Myself) is currently working as Member with Haryana Water Resources Authority, Panchkula. I super-annuated as Member, Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt. Of India. Mine current assignment is regarding conservation , management, regulation of water in the state of Haryana. I did his post graduation from Panjab University, Chandigarh and was awarded University medals for standing First class First both in Under Graduation and Post Graduation. During past around 35 years of experience in the field of Ground water science, I was involved in various activities relating to mapping and management of ground water in India. I have been associated with compilation of five volumes issued by Govt. of India on various topics such as Ground water recharge - techniques, Perspective Plan of Ground water Resources of India, Master plan for Artificial Recharge in India, Punjab water Quality- Issues and Challenges. I am co-author of book “Clean and Sustainable Ground water in India” published by Springer. Authored more than 40 publications in national and international forums on various aspects of Hydrogeology. I had lead one of the most ambitious projects ever taken for Mapping of aquifers of India. His latest contribution is towards mentoring “Integrated Water Resources plan of Haryana 2023-26”.and preparing Integrated Water Resources Action plan 2023-25 for the state of Haryana. Both these volumes are first of its kind in the country where comprehensive Integrated action plans have been prepared for meeting the current water deficits (~14 BCM) of Haryana state and more than 20 water related departments have been roped under single umbrella to work both on demand side & supply side water saving initiatives so as to bridge the gap by ~50% in next two years..
