My work experience and projects include a spectrum of automotive/ mechanical design. 1) Monitoring system for Driver drowsiness control: Finalist at Avenir Design Challenge by FaureciaDriver drowsiness has been a major socio-economic concern throughout the world. I developed a continuous monitoring system with capacitive ECG integrated with auto-braking and deceleration. The sleep rhythm is strongly correlated with brain and heart activities, these physiological bio signals can give accurate drowsiness/sleepiness detection. Heart rate variability (HRV), a physiological signal that has established links to waking/sleepiness stages, is analyzed from the heartbeat pulse signals for the detection of driver drowsiness. Combination of photo, haptic, auditory and visual provide real-time, easy implementable, nonintrusive, and accurate drowsiness detection within the seat. 2) The autonomous speed controller for mountainous terrains: a patent pending project A system to control the speed of the vehicle at hairpin turns or switchbacks in the mountainous terrains. The system calculates the lateral deviation and sudden distortion to mechanically slow down the speed of the vehicle at these non-linear morphological roadways. The inbuilt system in vehicles enable safe navigation through turns. The speed system of vehicle will be controlled automatically without any manual intervention to slow down the vehicle to the desired speed by optimization.3) Creating an open-source ultra-low cost Negative Pressure VentilatorA DIY ventilator built from automotive parts to be replicated in the most remote parts of the world.
