A Seasoned professional in the technology sector, I am currently leading the APAC Solutions Development Engineering division for ClearPath Forward technologies at Unisys. A strong leader and a seasoned Software development Director in Software Engineering, I have more than 20 years in senior management roles within the Systems division of Unisys, Oracle and Sun Microsystems and over 10 years in core hands-on Application Software Development and consultancy. Have an overall national and international experience of 30+ years in functions like Software Development, customer support, software sustaining & engineering, IT and management. In my previous role, I was responsible for setting up the Bangalore development center for A&W Engineering Works. The role includes all aspects of setting up a new development center including, but not limited to - hiring, training, setting up a new office, legal and regulatory aspects and vendor management.I have worked on diverse aspects of software engineering, customer engagement as well as building, growing and managing a team spread across the Asia Pacific & Japan region. A strong go-getter with a passion for excellence, have ensured that my team produces the highest level of quality in their deliverable. Responsible for defining the global sustaining strategy for 4 technology verticals within the Solaris operating systems.Prior to this, after completing an MBA from XLRI – Jamshedpur, I managed a range of activities including setting up an engineering location in India for the IT group in Sun Microsystems, developing application software,providing consultancy services as well as coordinating and negotiating an MOU with 14 PSU’s to bring in the AT&T Unix SVR4 source code in India.
