My story:I worked for 23 years in the corporate world, wherein I started as a Sales Engineer in 1985, handled all the challenges corporate executives face, and worked my way up till I was the CEO of a couple of SMEs in Kolkata.At the age of 46, I decided to switch career and pursue my passions for the rest of my life. I always had a passion for the subject of leadership. Questions like "who is an authentic leader", "why do we find so many incompetent leaders in senior leadership roles", "how can someone get willing followership"... such questions always fascinated me. Apart from practicing leadership myself, I also studied a lot of leadership literature.I was also passionate about raising people's skills and stature. Everyone seems to have the potential to raise himself / herself, and I found it really fulfilling to help people do it.In 2011, I combined these two passions and became a leadership coach. The passion also led me to write a book - "Fundamentals of Authentic Leadership" (front cover attached above).As my coaching career progressed, I became associated with Center for Creative Leadership. Till now (early 2024), I have coached about 200 leaders, most in senior leadership roles. My coachees have been from very diverse industries - manufacturing and projects, banking, startups, consulting etc. Most were at senior levels (CXOs and N-2s) though I have fair experience with CEOs and entry-levels too.I live in Bangalore with my wife. We have an empty nest, both our children being married and settled elsewhere.
