Worked as Senior Editor with the Hyderabad editorial office of the prestigious British news and current affairs magazine, New Statesman, owned by Progressive Media of the UK.

• Job Responsibilities:
• Conceptualise corporate websites from scratch and write original content for them
• Supervise about a dozen SEO article writers spread all over India, assign work to them for the week and think up fresh topics that they can write about. Fresh articles had to be generated everyday by my team for.
• Research, write and design e-magazines and e-books on various subjects which will be linked to clients’ websites and downloaded by potential customers
• Conceptualise, write and design (using various DTP packages) corporate brochures and promotional material

Turned entrepreneur. Stared my own travel magazine in Goa and ran it for six years. Explored various parts of India. After years of research, wrote travel books on Goa, Delhi and Varanasi which remain best-sellers. The six-year stint in my own company honed my skills as an entrepreneur, and taught me financial aspects of running operations.

Worked with Apex Publishing, the largest publishing house of Sultanate of Oman, as Editor of the annual “Tribute” magazine as well as Asst. Editor of “Oman Today” (travel and lifestyle magazine) and Asst Editor of “Business Today” (monthly business magazine).

Worked with the Business Publication Division (BPD) of the Indian Express Group which specialises in B2B journalism, bringing out over a dozen weekly news magazines on various industries. I joined as Asst. Editor and was promoted to Bureau Chief (Delhi) after one year. The flagship publication of this division is “Express Computer,” a weekly info-tech.

From June 1995 to July 1997, I worked with “PC World,” the Indian edition of the American monthly IT magazine. I joined as copy editor and was promoted to Asst. Editor after one year.

A joint venture between the Tata Group and the McGraw Hill Group of USA. I joined as Editorial Assistant and was promoted to Assistant Sponsoring Editor (Business and Professional Books) after two years.
