Designed and supervised the conduct of preclinical cardiac safety pharmacology profiling studies in a GLP environment. Techniques frequently used include:- Whole cell voltage and current clamp of cardiomyocytes, hERG or Nav1.5 expressing cells.- Automated electrophysiology platforms such as QPatch, PatchXpress and IonWorks Quattro.- Cardiac action potential prolongation measurements in rabbit and canine Purkinje fibers and guinea pig myocytes.- Safety study protocol design, supervising experiments, training and mentoring scientists and communicating results to clients in oral and written forms.

Biochemical and electrophysiological characterization of a newly discovered two pore domain potassium channel including identification of novel agonists and antagonists using conventional patch clamp methods.
