Managed multi-country engineering teams responsible for developing WiFi cores for all Qualcomm chips. The WiFi cores developed include 802.11n for low cost connectivity for appliances, high performance multi-gigabit WiFi cores for access points and the WiFi cores in the Snapdragon platforms. Also managed team that developed WIFI reference designs that customers incorporated into phones, access points or connectivity modules. Managed integration of engineering teams from three acquisitions and led Qualcomm to industry leadership in WiFi chips scaling the organization from delivering a few new cores per year to supporting a multi-billion $ WiFi business.Prior to WiFi role, led technology diligence, strategy and planning for several technologies and product lines including MEMS based displays, DOCSIS modems, power-line communications and connectivity for IoT.

Came to PLX through their acquisition of Teranetics. Served as CTO of PLX.

Founded Teranetics (acquired by Broadcom), raised capital from top-tier venture funds and corporate partners. Delivered three generations of 10GBASE-T Physical layer integrated circuit making Teranetics the industry leader in this space. Teranetics chips enabled the first 10G Ethernet switches from industry leading Ethernet switch and NIC vendors

Airgo Networks (acquired by Qualcomm) developed the first wireless LAN chipset commercializing multi-antenna MIMO technology. This technology was the basis of the IEEE 802.11n standard.

Iospan Wireless developed technology and products to provide high-speed wireless access in a non-line of sight environment. This technology was sold to Intel and formed the basis of Intel’s WiMAX program

Responsible for strategy and products for entry into the telecom access network equipment market. Led engineering development for Raychem’s Miniplex (small pair-gain systems) and coordinated R&D efforts in the Telecom, Energy and Industrial product groups across US, Belgium, Germany and UK

Responsible for defining technology direction for wireless products and delivering breakthrough technologies to Lucent business units. Specific technical projects in the department included development of Fixed Wireless Loop systems for high speed data & voice services, development of a the industry's first ISM band chipsets & an Electronic shelf label system consisting of low cost wireless display tags and a base station for communicating with tens of thousands of tags. Technology deployed as the NCR DecisioNet.
