The most fascinating task was to build and lead the System Engineering team from scratch at NDS/Cisco Bangalore. We were responsible for installation and maintenance of the Digital Conditional Access Systems (CAS) to support the: STB integration, STB Middleware development and CAS components verification. I was responsible to form the project specific teams of System Engineers, tasks assignments, execution follow up and delivery. Supported the customers in Southeast Asia region. Responsibilities included:♦ Procurement of the Hardware and Software for the E2E Digital Headend system setup.♦ Replication of the customer Broadcast Headends to support in-house STB Middleware integration ♦ MediaHighway - MHP, Advanced, pantalk Middleware.♦ E2E CAS setup for test and verification of the individual Conditional Access System components♦ Back-end setup to support the testing of STB user experiences and advanced features.♦ Setup advanced Digital Headends involving Interactive Applications, STB return path, propitiatory SIG, Mosaics, OTA downloads, DVB meta-data generation, IPPV/OPPV, Time-shifting feature, support for Hybrid STBs and many others.♦ Headend replication of the customer systems spread across Asia, Europe and Middle east.♦ Managing a team of System Engineers♦ Accountable for the assessment of tasks, assignment, execution follow up and timely delivery. ♦ Responsible for maintaining the effective communication between peer teams spread geographically.
