 Responsible for Legal services for the Road Transportation business of DHL Smartransport and DHL Supply Chain. Direct reporting to the DPDHL Group Head of Legal (India), and advising on all legal affairs of this entity spanning across contracting, litigation, general corporate, commercial & real estate advisory. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating Services Contract with Customers, vendor contracts, purchase contracts, confidentiality agreements (NDAs) and lease/license agreements for mitigating and managing contractual exposure and finalizing terms.

 End to end responsibility for all legal affairs of this entity spanning across contracting, litigation, general corporate, commercial & real estate advisory with the added responsibility of overseeing statutory compliance, LLP secretarial compliance and insurance. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating Services Contract with Customers, vendor contracts, purchase contracts, confidentiality agreements (NDAs) and lease/license agreements for mitigating and managing contractual exposure and finalizing terms.  Advising external counsel for the preparation of trials, draw on applicable laws to come up with legal recommendations, and provide pragmatic advice to business. Established key processes for review of Service Contracts to ensure shorter turnaround times while mitigating key risks and limiting liabilities.

 Preparing transaction documents for Merger and Acquisitions, such as business transfer agreements, share purchase agreements, facility agreements and license agreements, etc.  Drafting and interpreting different types of contracts like Lease Agreements, Supply Agreements, Services Agreements, Dealership Agreements, Consultancy Agreements, MOUs, Confidentiality Agreements, etc.  Advising on technology collaboration for electric vehicles, digital marketplaces and new automotive technologies including the negotiation of Technology License Agreements. Responding to and settling customer and vendor disputes, participating in settlement negotiations for disputes via arbitration and preparing settlement agreements.  Reviewing contracts for the defence subsidiary of the Company including technology transfer agreements, tenders and providing general advisory for defence manufacturing and export sanctions. Responding to Legal Notices and finalizing replies on behalf of the Company and defending the Company in key litigation matters before courts by coordination with external counsel. Advising external counsel for the preparation of trials, draw on applicable laws to come up with legal recommendations, and provide pragmatic advice to business. Advised on setting up the digital service business of the Company called “Service Mandi” and “Leykart”.
