MY JOURNEY FROM THE NEWS ROOM TO THE COURT ROOM...Before donning the black gown as an Advocate in the Madras High Court where I specialise in Media, Criminal, Constitutional, Corporate, Arbitration, Banking, Insurance, Environmental, Real Estate & Consumer Cases, I was the face of NDTV in South India, as the Bureau Chief & Resident Editor of NDTV 24x7 and the Executive Editor of NDTV Hindu.Multi tasking is my forte. Apart from being an Advocate, I am an Arbitrator at the Madras High Court Arbitration Centre, a Legal Columnist of Deccan Chronicle with over 323 published legal columns till date, a Panellist on National TV Debates and an Author of 4 Books – ‘High & Law’, 'My NDTV Days', 'Justice For All' and ‘Speakers Are Made Not Born’. For me ‘Cases’ are ‘Causes’, evident from my string of landmark victories in Courts – from getting exemplary compensation for an international sportsperson in a consumer case against an MNC bank and the refund of the cost of a luxury car from a big automobile manufacturer, to successfully fulfilling the professional wish of a retiring IPS officer and Director General of Police to wear his blood stained name badge from Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination site on his last day in service, to getting electricity for a poor farmer and widow of an ex-army man.I represented India in the IVLP Programme on the 'Rule of Law & Judicial Reforms' in the U.S.A in 2014.A former National Debating Champion with a record 106 victories in inter-collegiate debates representing Loyola College (1991 to 1994) and the Law College (1994 to 1997) and an Orator, I have mentored over 2000 students in Public Speaking.A recipient of Rotary Awards for my work in Law & the Media, I'm also a Guest Lecturer at Law Schools in India.
