At Reuters, I edited the global top news pages of the news agency. My job profile required me to read up the wire, pluck relevant stories from there, rework them whenever necessary and put them out keeping pace with the news flow.

At MiD DAY, I got a great exposure. I got to work on three different editions -- Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune -- during my stint with the tabloid. At times, I would be entrusted with the responsibility of bringing out the editions -- Bangalore and Pune.

I started my career at The Telegraph as a trainee sub-editor. There, I was the in-charge of the metro pages. My job profile was to coordinating with the bureau to understand the story possibilities of the day, selection of stories and photos for the page(s) being handled, and subbing and rewriting stories. And to break the monotony of the not-so-happening desk job, I would go chasing stories at times.
