Dr. Vashishtha’s activities at First Green are focused on Renewable energy, energy policy, building energy efficiency technologies, carbon credits, sustainable reporting. The major activities /projects handled by Dr. Vashishtha are the following; • Implementing Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standards in Indian Utilities” a Project funded by Shakti Sustainability foundation.• Lender’s Engineer due diligence for over 20 projects with cumulative capacity of about 500 MW. In India for solar, wind and biomass projects. • Conducted several training programs in the field of solar PV, wind power, and building energy efficiency. • He has been active in creating a portfolio of about 2000 kW solar projects under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) to provide distributed power generation services through solar rooftop projects. Dr. Vashishtha has also installed over 10 MW of solar rooftop projects under the capex mode. • Dr. Vashishtha has been active for policy advisory works to many government and non government bodies, which include the MNRE, SECI, world bank, ADB, and other international organizations.

DLF Utilities Limited (DLFU) is a subsidiary company of DLF Limited and is catering to the electricity & air-conditioning requirements of various real estate projects like Commercial Complexes, SEZs, Malls, Cyber Cities, IT parks, Hotels/Convention Centres , Large Townships etc. taken up by the DLF group through energy efficient and environment friendly technology. The company is setting up the dual fuel (Gas/HSD) based Green Energy Centres on clean co-generation technology to achieve high efficiency in electricity generation & air-conditioning.

Dr. Vashishtha’s activities at DLF focused on implementing the green energy and building energy efficiency technologies and subsequently exploring the carbon credit opportunities through these project activities. During his tenure at DLF group, he developed a portfolio of over 230 MW of wind assets and managed investment of about 1300 Crore Rs investments in wind power projects. Dr. Vashishtha also developed a new methodology for Building cogeneration projects (AM0084) which has allowed us to get carbon credit benefits for the building cogeneration projects.

Dr. Vashishtha initially Joined Suzlon as a technical trainer in the corporate training centre. The activities at Corporate learning centre mainly focused on conducting training programmes related to the wind power project development, operation and maintenance, marketing, project planning and control, etc. Dr. Vashishtha was responsible for registration of CDM projects in the area of wind power and industrial energy efficiency. Dr. Vashishtha also conducted a number of training programs and workshops to different groups on CDM and Carbon Credits.

Teaching, research and consulting

During his tenure at BITS Pilani Dr. Vashishtha was responsible for teaching courses related to of energy management, renewable energy, heat transfer, thermodynamics, referegeration and airconditioning, etc. Dr. Vashishtha was coordinator was coordinator of the Centre for renewable Energy and Environmental Development (CREED) at BITS Pilani. During his tenure Dr. Vashishtha was involved in many training, research and consultancy assignments.
