As a security officer, I value my role greatly and hold myself to the highest standard, perfectly balancing customer service and providing diligent security screening throughout the various posts at Heathrow Airport. As a passenger-facing officer, I ensure I meticulously meet the standards and regulations set out by the Civil Aviation Authority and Department for Transport and do so in a non-invasive, efficient, and time-effective manner.

As a customer service manager at Hertz, my role required me to manage customer bookings at Heathrow, ensuring customers could collect and return rental vehicles in accordance with their booked timings. I also had to ensure the specified vehicles were ready for collection and in pristine condition fit for customer use. Upholding the company's brand meant ensuring an elite level of service and providing the utmost customer satisfaction by diligently ensuring all bookings were fulfilled within the promised timelines, with no delays or cancellations due to disorganisation or vehicles being unprepared. Furthermore, I had to make sure the team was completing the administrative aspects of the rental process correctly and that bookings, insurance, and collections were all processed exactly as standards dictated.

As a trading manager at B&Q, I led a team of 14 in the trade department, overseeing the stock, customer service, and builder orders for large construction projects, trade membership deals and offers, and store organisation and displays. During my time at B&Q I had to display exceptional levels of leadership managing a substantial number of individuals; this required organisation when developing rotas and work schedules, delegating tasks to match the strengths of the team, and encouraging a positive and collaborative work environment. I also ensured timely and efficient communication between my department and back-end suppliers for materials ensuring adequate stock is present in the store and customer orders are filled correctly within the promised timelines. Additionally, I had to demonstrate teamwork by coordinating with different stores and headquarters to roll out centralised initiatives, deals, offers, and sales to promote a specific product and bring in new customers.

During my time at Portfolio Partners, I worked my way up from Quality Assurance Manager to Business Development Manager, and finally to Business Development Manager. My responsibilities at Portfolio Partners involved overseeing the development of catering packages for airlines ranging from economy-class flight service packages to the supply of food to premium lounges and first-class cabins. Whilst in charge of procurement I was responsible for liaising with executives from major food companies and confectioners such as Unilever, Walkers, Kellogg’s, etc. to negotiate the supply, branding, and pricing of airline in-flight meals and lounge catering. I successfully led countless negotiations across my tenure at Portfolio and managed a team of 3 associate-level employees to develop and design optimal packaging designs, branding, product size, and nutritional guidelines, as well as to secure new potential clients as suppliers.
