Sanjeev Kumar has over 20 years of experience in the field of Energy, Environment and Climate Change. He has been involved in GHG audit at the capacity of team leader and technical reviewer from the initial days of CDM validation and verifications. He has worked with leading DOEs and led the climate change program in Africa, Middle East, and Southeast Asia Pacific region at the capacity of Regional Technical Manager. Under his leadership, his past organization had verified maximum no. of CERs issued by CDM EB and also received the best CDM verifier award.Currently, Sanjeev is responsible for verifiers management and methodology development at Global Carbon Council and involved in project assessment as a technical expert. He has the responsibility to develop and assess methodologies and create robust and transparent system for verifiers’ accountability and performance assessment. Sanjeev is also a certified Lead Auditor for Environmental Management System (ISO14001), Energy Management System (ISO50001) and GHG Emissions (ISO14064-2).Sanjeev is a chemical engineer, holds master’s degree in Energy Management and a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP). He is also a certified energy auditor approved by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.
