 Shift in Charge- Working as a shift in charge in SSU, BTF, Tatoray, XFU, Parex and Isomer units. Handling a team of field operators and technicians for smooth plant operation and to meet the production targets. Analyze daily lab data for optimizing the process unit operating parameter to minimize utility consumption, loss of Sulfolane and Desorbent , improve yield and recovery on daily basis. Troubleshooting the problems appears in the process units.  Issuing work permits to respective contractors after thorough checking of system and surroundings. As a field engineer, checking of all equipment and process related issues on a regular basis, attending them in coordination with mechanical, Instrumentation and electrical team. Planning of annual shutdown jobs & starts up activities and safe execution of the same. Performing HIRA and JSA with safety team for safe execution of critical jobs. Involved in annual shutdown activities like catalyst bed replacement, exchanger cleaning, column and heater inspection. Shift Manpower planning, Daily production report preparation and stock position monitoring. Provide training to new engineer and evaluate them to make ready for take charge at panel and field operation. Tuning the complex control loop as heater firing control loop, Distillation column controlling loop and ZTC (Zone transition control supplied by Uop) tuning with instrumentation team of OMPL & UOP (Licensor).  Checking and solving of any kind of maintenance issue like instrument mal function, tuning errors or any operation related issue in coordination with maintenance team. Effectively handled emergency scenario such as Black-out, Rupture of CMI(Coplanar Manifold indexture) hydraulic hose, Malfunction of Pump –around turbine flow meter, Malfunction of pump-around control valve, loss of tatoray unit, loss of isomar unit, malfunction of combustion air air damper of xylene heate etc.

1. Detailed review of Instrumentation and control systems of the plant. 2.Review and comments on the Piping and instruments drawing for the EPTP (Effluent pre- treatment plant) and ETP (Effluent treatment plant) it works on the basis of distillation principle for removal of benzene from effluent (Oil water sewage of the plant).3. Inspection (Factory Acceptance Test) of all third party control systems and instruments at vendor’s shop floor. 4. Prepare standard operating procedure for heaters and compressor based on the vendor operating manual and ESD(Emergency shutdown) logics 5. Co-ordinating with many contractors for smooth execution of the project. 6. Performed all equipment’s internal inspection along with UOP. 7. Active participation in the crude unit commissioning of MRPL (Mangalore refinery and petrochemical limited) phase-III of crude handling capacity of 3MMTPA. Achievements: 1. Completed successful loading of Adsorbent chamber with ADS-37(worth around RS 2000 million) of Para xylene extraction process along with UOP and CR Australia. 2. Prepare SOP (Standard operating procedure) for Start-up/shut-down of Parex/xylene fractionation and isomar unit for OTS (Operator training simulator) supplied by Honeywell. 3. Comission the OMPL flare network, flare stack and ffg panel single handilyresponsibility.
