A 3D Numerical Model for coupled fluid flow & heat transfer is developed for sessile drop evaporation on a heated substrate under microgravity and implemented in COMSOL. The results from 3D DNS computations are quantitatively validated and analyzed with Sounding rocket (funded by ESA) & Parabolic flight (funded by ESA & CNES) experiments. Contributed to the design, modification, technical recommendations, and preparation of the experiments. The numerical model is continuously adapted by comprehending the experiments and simultaneously using the numerical modelling for predictive capabilities and extrapolation to the experiments. Provide scheduled reports and presentations of the progress to CNES and ESA. Supervision of the practical sessions of Physics and Mechanics for the 3rd year mechanical engineering students.
