After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I knew it was time to dive into my core career path. So, I set my sights on banking and prepared myself for the corporate world. When I landed a position as a Trainee Assistant at NIC Asia Bank Limited, a major retail and commercial bank, it felt like everything I’d been working toward was finally coming together.I went in with some theoretical knowledge from my studies, but stepping into the bank was eye-opening, it was my first real experience seeing how things operate on the inside. I had the privilege of working with some incredibly skilled professionals who taught me so much. I learned how to pitch sales deals, build and maintain customer portfolios, and create lasting relationships with clients. Being part of the sales team, I onboarded corporate and business accounts and introduced digital solutions like QR payment systems, POS, payment gateways, and discount partnerships to strengthen our client relationships.One of my favorite parts of the job was being tasked with understanding our competitors and reporting my findings to senior management. It gave me a strategic view of the market and pushed me to think on my feet. My supervisors and senior leaders were incredibly supportive, showing me how to work with interns to build our market presence.Those years were a time of intense growth and connection - I met brilliant minds, learned from experienced mentors, and made some great friends. The experience shaped me in ways I hadn’t expected and gave me skills that I carry with me to this day.

Teaching young students turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. I never thought I would end up spending almost four years in the teaching field, but I was so engaged in what I was doing that I lost all sense of time. Those curious, bright-eyed kids brought a kind of innocent curiosity that made me see things differently about both teaching and life. The journey was truly amazing, even spiritually rejuvenating, as I found myself growing alongside them, gaining patience, empathy, and a broader perspective. That time in the classroom didn’t just teach me how to teach, it left a lasting, transformative impact on me.
