I am Sanjida Hasan, a graduate Urban Designer & Architect from the Masters program of "Urban Design : Revitalization Of Historic City Districts" at Brandenburg Technical University, Germany; Cairo University, Egypt and Alexandria University, Egypt. My bachelors is in Architecture from Dept. of Architecture, Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh.I am enthusiastic to work in the field of Architecture and Urban Design. My field of interest is "Integrating Nature Based Solutions (NBS) in Water sensitive Urban Design (WSUD)", specially in flood prone context. For my masters thesis, I have worked on the topic of Water based Urbanism and tried to find link between water and heritage. The research intends to learn from past and present practices to develop tools for Natural flood management in the Ahr Valley, Germany.I love to learn and help people. I like works which serves both of these purposes; my thirst for knowledge and desire to contribute to the society. I believe an Architect can bring change in others life using their intense analytical ability, relating it with people's psychological and daily needs while keeping in mind their socio-cultural, religious and economic condition without neglecting Environmental Sustainability. I want to play my part for my society, beginning in my birthplace, Chittagong. I always prioritize people's Consent, Safety, Gender Equity and respect others views, norms and values etc. I want to ensure people a safe space to allow them to open-up about their life and living conditions specially during community survey or while working with vulnerable group of people.All of these have triggered me to gain skills in Team Management, Multi-disciplinary Group Work, Leadership etc. I have practiced Ice-breaking, Role Playing etc. during community survey and have lead a group of 10 members, consisting of volunteers from the community. I enjoy working with Multi-disciplinary group. To conclude, I want to contribute in the development of my community and country. Therefore, I wish to dedicate my career in the Urban Design and Community Development sector of Bangladesh. I believe, every little community or area development can change Bangladesh in a bigger picture.
