As Chief People Officer, I was responsible for transforming people policies and practices at PI Industries with a view to making it an employer of choice. Towards this objective, I led the digitalisation of people processes across the HR value chain, upgraded Performance Management, instituted a Talent Review, Succession Planning and Leadership Development process and brought in fresh talent to fuel the company's growth. Restructured top management pay to reflect a closer link to company and business performance. Instituted compensation benchmarking to ensure competitive and evidence-based pay.Also oversaw the company's CSR and Branding and Communication functions.

At Kalpataru, I was responsible for identifying and developing the next generation of leaders, harmonising HR policies and practices and upgrading HR capabilities and processes within the Group. Kalpataru is in the businesses of residential real estate development, construction, power transmission and logistics.

Supporting management in HR activities relating to he wind-down of he bank's retail, business banking, commercial banking, credit cards and mortgage businesses and sale of some parts of its portfolio. Responsibilities include HR due diligence support, advice on HR aspects of portfolio sale, implementing the separation and redundancy processes, employee communication and change management. Played a key role in achieving positive employee brand recognition despite the wind-down and job losses.

National Practice Head for the People & Change Consulting practice which provides cutting-edge human resource advisory services to clients in the areas of Organisation and Change, HR Transformation, Rewards and Talent Management. Led a team of 3 partner / directors and 30 consultants. Led and delivered high impact and strategically aligned projects in HR Technologies, Leadership and Succession and Organisation Design and Culture Transformation.

I led Mercer Human Resource Consulting's business in India. On my watch the business grew manifold, with improved profitability, enhanced brand image and talent retention. Established and leveraged relationships with senior managements of marquee business groups and companies including the Tatas, Aditya Birla, Adani, Reliance and Asian Paints as well as leading MNCs such as Ericsson, ABB and Siemens. Led and delivered tangible business outcomes in the areas of Compensation and Benefits, Organisation Design, Job Design and Grading, Total Rewards and Leadership and Succession. Assisted companies in revamping pay, designing and rolling out Total Rewards programs, sales and other short-term incentive plans, long-term incentives including stock-based compensation and senior executive compensation linked to company performance using EVA and other long-term value-creation models. Assisted Rem Committees in setting Executive Pay and governance around it. Assisted company managements in developing pay philosophies, competitive pay positioning using custom designed and generic benchmarking, designing compensation structures for various levels of management and implementing them through strong communication to secure buy-in. My advocacy played a big role in Merecr's setting up its Actuarial Outsourcing unit in India.

Played a key role in setting up and growing the firm's Supply Chain and Performance Improvement Consulting. Led a team of young professionals and projects involving supply chain redesign, sustainable cost reduction, performance and process improvement. Pioneered the use of Activity-Based Costing in overhead cost management. Delivered tangible business outcomes through cycle time and waste reduction, inventory optimisation, improved S&OP processes and effective use of technology to drive performance using real-time data and metrics.

Kingston, Jamaica

I set up and ran the Treasury function of the company and managed a debt portfolio of US$25 million in a volatile and uncertain macro-economic environment. High interest rates and the spectre of a devaluation made Treasury management uniquely challenging. Put in place a Treasury policy and risk management framework, crafted short-term Treasury strategies aligned to a longer term vision. Built robust Treasury processes for cash flow planning and forecasting, foreign exchange management (including hedging) and governance and reporting of Treasury decisions.

At PW Jamaica, I was a key member of the firm's corporate finance advisory practice. As part of PW's team of advisors to the Government of Jamaica, I led the privatization of Air Jamaica, the corporatisation of the Ports Authority of Jamaica, numerous business valuation projects and projects involving the privatization of government owned assets and businesses.
