Expanded Cloud organization from US based to 24/7 follow the sun model with teams in India and Ireland. Traveled several times to India for site selection, key hires, and growth. Executive sponsor to help India team work across G&A that was new to India operations. Made first senior engineering leadership hires in Europe. Through M&A, the team expanded to 13 locations worldwide.Added support for more verticals, emerging markets and more barriers to entry through certifications - SOC 2, SOC 3, PCI, HIPAA, privacy regulations for multiple countries.Matured the organization to the IPO in 2016 and continued year over year growth.Realized the need for separation of duty for compliance. Worked with General Counsel to hire a CISO and transition responsibilities for compliance and corporate security.Transitioned the Cloud organization smoothly from the Customer Success organization to the Engineering organization.Restructured the organization - Cloud Engineering (full stack developers build platform products), Site Reliability Engineering (hybrid software and systems engineers) and Security Engineering.

Promoted within a year to recognize outstanding performance.

Coupa needed an experienced leader to mature their production operations and security to win Enterprise deals. In a 25 employee company, wore many additional hats to manage IT, develop the first Coupa integrations on Boomi (now Dell) and manage the Technical Services team.Within a span of a year, hired a solid Infrastructure architect and senior engineers, incorporated a lean ITIL based process, and completed the SOC 1 certification with a reputable auditor. Hands-on at this point with automation of product releases and infrastructure management.Created durable mission statement and principles for the Coupa Cloud. Since we were early adopter of AWS (EC2 was in Beta), adopted a strategy of cloud-agnosticity - this helped us several times down the road with hybrid clouds, multi-cloud and leverage with AWS.

Qualys has a Software as a Service (SaaS) Vulnerability Management solution called QualysGuard that audits over several hundred million IPs per month across 200 of Forbes Global 2000 companies.Performed the first comprehensive technical competitive analysis against major competitors. Provided key differentiators which were used in sales pitches for big accounts, and marketing materials. Highlighted and championed opportunities for product improvements. Analyzed vulnerability data and knowledge base for trends and anomalies.

Worked with the Qualys founding team to develop several core modules for the QualysGuard scanner. Created several hundred vulnerability detection routines included some notable ones like the Apache Slapper Worm. Developed the first Web server fingerprinting tool in the industry. Designed and developed the Qualys Browser Check tool in 2002 when browser security, cross site scripting and phishing were not buzzwords yet.
