In pursuit of establishing light as a form of art rather than pure function, Sankush Bhayana, Co-founder and Executive Director at Legero Lighting, is passionate about creating lighting that protects the environment, sculpts the future, and is tuneable to mimic the time of day.Sankush’s journey began in 2009 when he identified a void in the market for technically brilliant lighting solutions. He was inspired by the endless possibilities of LED to develop a range of lighting that allows users to decide how they want their space to feel without burning a hole in their pocket.That's when Sankush co-established Legero, a combination of 'Legacy' and 'Revolution'. With a long term vision in mind, he established an in house R&D and product testing setup to ensure Legero luminaires have exceptional quality in perfect harmony with technical expertise. He carefully curated indigenous manufacturing to deliver lighting solutions designed by highly skilled electrical engineers and product designers. Having spent 13 years in the lighting industry, Sankush has a true talent to translate fresh ideas into widely adopted Legero products that promote lighting innovation and ecosystem sustainability. As an diversion from working to change how we use light in our lives, you can find him playing golf and pursuing his passion for sports, especially basketball. His work with Dribble Academy is one of the most precious ways of staying connected to the sport while uplifting underprivileged kids through basketball in rural communities.
