The BCO is an orchestra for the community which gives amateur musicians (and students who do not necessarily study music) the opportunity to play in an orchestra while also employing some professional musicians. I have performed with the BCO as soloist for 2 concerts - "All That Jazz" in October 2012 and "'n Tas vol Lloyd Webber" at the Vryfees in July 2013. The latter sold the most tickets for a single performance at the 2013 Vryfees in Bloemfontein and won the Vryfees award for the best Free State production for the 2013 season.
